When doing this be sure you are charging enough to make a profit. The downside to this type of arrangement is that you may end up with shopworn items that did not sell. Once in a while you may find a craft store that will buy your work outright. You get paid up front and the items are theirs to sell. You may make a bit less money this way, but you will not have to try to sell things that have been displayed for a while.

When setting up arts and crafts displays; you have to remember that you need to showcase your work to its best advantage. If you’re in a arts and craft store or a craft mall, you will be competing with other booths for attention. You want to display your work to attract shoppers to your area. For example; if you are making Christmas ornaments, set up a small tree to display one of each kind and package the remainder for sale. That way people will not be ripping your display apart to get what they want. An inexpensive folding screen or small shelf unit will be helpful in showcasing your creations. If possible, display things as if they were in a home. If you have placemats and napkins, set up a small table with dishes in place.
